im up to 10 piercing and i find alot of this relevent and usefull THANKS!
When i was in my beginning 20ies Navel piercings were so hip and i was so in love with the idea that i went to a studio twice. But the imagination of the procedure necessary to have it seemed already overwhelming to me so i didnt do it. Now twenty years later i am so glad that i didnt do it. My taste changed and my tummy too.
Yesterday when going to sleep i realized that i prefer to remove my earring studs every night because they actually bother me when sleeping on one side as i feel the pointy back of the studs behind the ears. And i thought to myself thank god did i not get any more of them on my ear that i would probably need to remove each night to sleep.
I also have small ears that would look overloaded easily with too much metal there. And also to have an ear that is not pierced more than once because it is SO against the trend and looks classy stands out way more than multiple piercings as you see them everywhere. In my view especially with dagling earrings it looks more elegant. While it actually saves me money, as i dont need to buy so many earrings and piercings for holes i need to fill.
I dont want to suggest to generally not do it, if thats what you like, but just because you feel it right now does not mean it will always be that way and that there wont be surprises.
Last but not least, I'd also take also the practical side into consideration in deciding how many piercings I'd get, and not just the looks of it. Not the same for everyone but for me, if it doesnt feel comfy it has to go…
Just a thought and personal viewpoint. Maybe not the same than anyone elses but i wanted to share it anyway.

Stumbled on this bc after taking my 13 yo to get her ears pierced, I'm thinking of getting a few more piercings so I can wear one birthstone for each of my children (5). My ear lobe is only big enough for 3 piercings though… So I'm looking at ideas and sitting on the thought for a while.
I held a lot of what I'm guessing are myths about cartilage piercing for a long time so it feels strange to look in the mirror and consider getting my cartilage pierced.

I have no problems with fainting. I faint every time I go piercing. I like it. It is refreshing. Nothing wrong about that.

I'm planning on getting a few piercings as I get older. I just got my 2nd piercing
So I've got my Daith 4 months ago and it was pretty nice. But around one month ago it started to hurt and it's inflamed. I've been healing it ever since it started to hurt but the pain doesn't go away… In fact it looks worse and worse… Do you guys have any recommendation??
Not that it matters, but I love the way you've styled your ears. I agree with you piercing is a personal journey, not a trend. It is something you do for yourself, and although it's painful, it also involves a lot of self-care and healthy narcissism(I mean, just a touch of it, enough to remind you that you are worthy of care and embellishment). As for getting to be 60 or older, I am 61 and have had my ears pierced 3 times in the last 2 years, which makes a total of 5 piercings. I do not have plans for more because I'm a little scared of touching the cartilages, but who knows? So go girl! You are beautiful and stylish do not pay attention to haters
This is so unbelievably helpful in my just started piercing journey. Just got my daith done after not getting a piercing for 17 years.
I just 8 piercings all at once last weekend. No regrets! I would do it all over it again…woohooo
I love this! I have 20 piercings total that I have done myself, and each piercing was done through hard times in my life and happy times and one for my birthday (nose ring). I have 00g stretched ears that I did myself when I was 19, I’m in my 30s now! I absolutely love them. I never really cared if they were trending or not I don’t follow trends, my piercings helped me through my struggles with anxiety and depression, which gave me a boost of happy I needed to continue with life. I had a person tell me “what are you going to do with your piercings when you become an elderly person?” I said when I get old my piercings are going wherever I go. ❤
I saved this SO long ago to watch, getting my first cartilage piercing tomorrow and this has been so helpful to watch! I think they look amazing on you. Like you said on the days you don’t get glammed up they’re a little something to still feel good ❤

I regret it I cant get mine to stop smelling and I clean them with so much different product
girl! you are the only video I've heard actually mention the rough sex component … that's why I hadn't started my journey but yes you just have to communicate with your partner(s) that that area is off limits!!! and yes you'll have to remind them more than once! but that's on you to be cautious of the area…but I said f it– it can't be a celibate journey too haha
I got my industrial, tragus, and inner conch at the same time so I had to tell people to hug me on the opposite side .. it was the extreme lol
I took the after care more serious after I realized and remembered that it can get infected. I am getting another peircing and want to learn from my mistakes

I had my second lobe done about 8 weeks ago (healed well) and now I'm keen to get my third lobe done! I'm debating on whether to get the needle this time? Although the gun was totally fine for my second. My piercers are so knowledgeable/clean/sterile which is how it should be! So not sure!
